Hi, my name is Jessica I'm behind the camera for Jess E Photography. I was born and raised in the small Mississippi town of Natchez, where I currently reside with my loving fiancée and 2 wonderful son's.
In a small town, being raised by a single mother... There wasn't much for entertainment. I can remember at the early age of 7 maybe 8, my mother bought my first disposable camera. That's when my love of Photography began. I took pictures of anyone and anything, it could've been a cow in a field, it got it's picture taken. Once my mother saw the passion I grew for photography, she let me use her old Polaroid camera. At the time, that camera was mind blowing! I can remember anxiously waiting on my mother's payday hoping and praying she could afford just 1 pack of film. I knew I wanted to be a Photographer, so I took a few classes in high school. With money being so tight at the time, my mother couldn't afford the gear for the class. Even though I didn't have a camera at the time, I still hung onto every word the teacher spoke. I waited and saved until finally one day I was able to purchase my first digital camera.
With a love of Photography, I also share a love for nature, crochet and knitting. I learned at the age of 12 how to crochet from my mother, which learned from her mother. With this skill I was able to make anything... Afghans, hats, gloves and photography props, you name it and I can make it! After so many years of crocheting, I taught myself to knit, and that opened doors to making children's clothes. With these skills I'm able to offer original, unique props for any session. I thrive to capture beautiful, unforgettable memories... I can't wait to capture yours.
